Nearly a dozen restaurants competing at E Street Plaza, judged by local celebrities Bob Bowen, Maria Contreras Tebbutt, Heidy Kellison and Brett Maresca.
The first Burger Battle, July 17, 2021, crowned Tommy J's for best overall, the Davis Food Co-op for best alternative and Handheld Sweet and Savory Handpies for most creative. It came back in 2022 and 2023.
